Ayrıca Kuzey Amerika kökenli olduğu için Oregon Üzümü adıyla da anılır.Bitkinin Belirgin Özellikleri:Çiçekler: Bahar aylarında (Nisan-Mayıs) açan, salkım şeklinde toplanmış parlak sarı çiçekleri vardır.Yapraklar: Sert, derimsi ve kenarları dikenli dişli bir yapıya sahiptir. Kış aylarında genellikle yeşilden kırmızımsı bir renge dönerler.Meyveler: Çiçeklenme sonrası oluşan meyveleri siyah-mavi renkte, üzerleri puslu ve üzümü andıran bir görünümdedir.Kullanım: Peyzaj düzenlemelerinde çit bitkisi veya süs çalısı olarak sıkça tercih edilir.
