Bu tip fotoğraflarda arka fon temiz olmalı (düz siyah bir zemin mesela), flaş kullanılmamalı (eğer zorunluysa önüne ışığı yumuşatmak için bir malzeme kullanılmalı ve flash kısılmalı), yandan gelen ışık (pencereden gün ışığı gibi) seçilmeli daha kaliteli görüntü için, obje de göz hizasında olursa daha iyi bir fotoğraf elde edilecektir.
